Recommended Charities
A Child's Right (ACR)
is a nonprofit relief organization working to change the current living
standards and health of impoverished children the world over. Its
staff, members and consultants come from very diverse backgrounds
working with water purification and sanitation technologies, water
quality issues at U.S. governmental standards, hygiene education
practices, pediatric care, and international relief work. ACR has
provided clean drinking and cooking water for tens of thousands of
children.
Feeding America
(formerly America's Second Harvest) is the nation's leading domestic
hunger-relief charity, with a network of more than 200 member food
banks and food-rescue organizations serving all 50 states, the District
of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Each year, Feeding America secures and
distributes more than 2 billion pounds of food and grocery products to
support feeding programs at approximately 50,000 local charitable
agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters,
after-school programs, and Kids' Cafes.
Some Recommended Charities will not be listed here:
Some Charities require a commercial co-venture agreement to be able to list there name as a recommended charity on our website. Some charities only enter into these agreements when there will be an annual minimum donation of $50,000. Since we can't guarantee that we will be able to donate that much to one particular charity, we will not list those charities here. We will still donate to them but we will only list them on our blog during our vote in November which determines the amount given to each charity
